Ashbourne Summer Music Series: August 16th to September 06th, 2009. The series consists of four Sunday evening concerts in August/September. The first concert on Sunday 16th August sees young Spanish violinist, Nicole Crespo O’Donoghue play a virtuoso programme of violin masterpieces, ranging from works by Falla, Sarasate and Wieniawski to the well-loved Londonderry Air in a beautiful arrangement by Kreisler. Nicole has been coming to Ashbourne every summer for years and embarks on a professional performance degree in London this autumn. Having won every major violin prize competition in her native country, this is Nicole’s first recital in Ireland. |
